Adventure Care is a Children’s home offering activity based crisis intervention and longer term placements for children aged 9-16 years. We provide a one staff to one child ratio twenty four hours a day, which can increase to two or three to one to manage behaviour.
There are normally three children in placement at any one time. This could be a house, tent, cottage, static caravan, bunk house or other accommodation. The type of accommodation will depend on how long a child has been at Adventure Care and what any risk assessments of the child would suggest.
Adventure Care provides education to each child. This is comprised of adventure based outdoor activities, life skills and full time education in line with the national curriculum. This is done on a one to one basis.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Registered Home Manager to support and drive the service forward, promoting and delivering the highest possible standard of care to vulnerable children. Acting as the senior professional person within the staff team, you will ensure that all aspects of care and support delivered are complaint with current legislation and that high quality care is embedded within the culture of the team.
