Who are we?

Progressive Care is an independent and private sector organisation. Progressive Care is proud to be specialists in providing out of borough placements to children, young people and families all over the United Kingdom. We have worked tirelessly to ensure individualised and tailored packages are provided to these vulnerable groups.

The Role

We are expanding the Social Care Team in order to continually improve the level of support we can offer. We are looking for Social Workers to help deliver support plans and develop parenting skills, often in conjunction with the courts, in our centres based in Sheffield, Matlock and Wigan.

You will have the exciting opportunity to work closely with families and their children as well as support workers to undertake assessments, in a robust, realistic and empathetic manner. You would be working in our small, intimate and modern provisions.

Contact with families and the assessments we provide are frequent, in-depth and allow a rare opportunity for high quality and constructive relationships with parents and children.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a Social Worker with experience of working to a high standard with vulnerable families with complex needs, preferably in an assessment setting. You will have the ability to build a rapport with families as well as delivering high quality social work practice, adhering to policy, procedure and legislation. Court experience is desirable in order to support our families fully and a driving license is essential as travel between sites is required.

We Offer

  • A uniquely small and intimate caseload
  • Comprehensive Induction.
  • Access to extensive training
  • Access to nationally recognised qualifications
  • Opportunities and commitment to career progression
